Brown Spots

BROWN SPOTS TREATMENT

Superficial brown spots may appear on the skin of mature adults due to prolonged sun exposure, UV tanning, and/or aging. Brown spots typically appear on people over the age of 40, and are also referred to as sun spots.  It is possible to lessen the appearance and remove brown spots through the Miracular Plasma Lift procedure.

An excess in the production of melanin makes the pigmentation in the skin darker. Brown spots are typically found on the face, arms, back of the hands, shoulders and the top of the back. They are most likely to develop on the areas of the bed which have the most sun exposure.

MIRACULAR PLASMA LIFT – THE LOW-RISK NON-SURGICAL PROCEDURE

BROWN SPOTS TREATMENT PROCEDURE

  • Apply the appropriate numbing product for your client’s maximum comfort.

  • Set the device at a minimum power level, gently spray the brown spot and wipe off the carbon residue.
  • Usually, one gentle spray motion will suffice to remove the superficial pigments of the brown spot.
  • If superficial brown spots are left untreated the pigments of the brown spots move deeper into the skin over time.

It should be noted that age spots are not going to disappear using a superficial ablation. It is highly recommended not to try and remove age spots within one session as this will require a deeper ablation that could later develop into scarring. Instead, it is recommended to perform 2 to 3 superficial treatments spread 4 weeks apart from each other and let each area recover between treatments for at least 4 weeks.
